We have now set up a new group specifically for people under the age of 65 who have been diagnosed with dementia and who live within the “old Avon” area.
This group, called “The Denim Generation“, can be accessed on Facebook. It is designed to be a safe space where people can open up about their experiences, if they want to. Ask questions, or just discover other people who are in a similar situation to themselves.
We are hoping in the future that the group will be able to arrange meet ups. These could be walks, visits to somewhere, fishing, swimming, or just going to the pub! (won’t that be nice when we can do that again)
Of course everyone in this group is very welcome to attend any of our other local groups and their carers can attend the carers groups hosted by Heads Up and Wells Carers Groups.
